How to migrate a mailbox

  1. Log into M365 Admin Console
    • Use your SA account.
    • Navigate to the Exchange Admin
  2. Access Migration

    • In Exchange Admin, go to the Migration tab.

  3. Add Migration Batch

    • Click on Add migration batch.
    • Enter the migration batch name (it can be anything, usually the name of the mailbox being migrated).
    • Set the migration path to: Migration to Exchange Online > Click Next.
  4. Select Migration Type

    • Choose Remote move migration > Click Next.
  5. Prerequisites for Remote Migration

    • On the “Prerequisites for remote migration” window, click Next.
  6. Select Migration Endpoint

    • Choose Zywave_OnPrem_2022 (it’s the only option) > Click Next.
  7. Add User Mailbox(es)

    • Select Manually add users to migrate.
      • Click in the box and select the mailboxes available to migrate.
    • Choose your user and click Next.
  8. Move Configuration

    • Select the target delivery domain: zywave.mail.onmicrosoft.com (it’s the only choice) > Click Next.
  9. Schedule Batch Migration

    • Enter your email address.
    • Ensure Automatically start and complete options are checked > Click Save.
  10. Completion Notification

    • You’ll receive an email when the mailbox migration is complete.
